What
"Automotive Cybersecurity in the Age of AI”

Description

Artificial Intelligence (AI) changes how to approach automotive cybersecurity.   This talk looks at the changes from three distinct perspectives.  First,  the talk contends that AI introduces fundamental changes in any approach to automotive cybersecurity.  AI adds new challenges and changes the underlying threat model in important ways.  Second, the talk contradicts itself with the contention that AI does not introduce any fundamental change in automotive cybersecurity.  Cybersecurity is based around established principles, and these principles simply need to be applied.    In fact, the contention that AI changes everything is not correct, but the contention that AI changes nothing is also incorrect.  The talk examines a middle ground on how one might adapt cybersecurity in the age of AI.  Finally, no discussion on how AI impacts cybersecurity is complete without considering the cybersecurity of AI itself, and the talk concludes with a discussion of cybersecurity concerns for AI.
